Ceramic inner thread realized with M1.2 mm

For a UHV manipulator at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Department of Physical Chemistry), a ceramic sample holder made out of Alumina A-997 was realized containing 6 internal threads M1.2. The sample holder is used in a temperature range from 100 K to 1.500 K for measurements in ultra-high vacuum.

BCE invests in technology development

For the start to the year 2014 a fourth CNC circular precision grinding machine was ordered and will be set into operation with end of this year. Manufacturing capabilities and capacities will be further extended at BCE company, in line with our customers’ needs.

Calibrating standard for inlays and multi-unit crowns

BCE realized calibration standards made out of Z-700/20A to meet demands according to DIN EN ISO 12836:2013-01 for the determination of reference data sets in dental technology. The standard provides two geometries for the calibration of digitizers: (1) inlay shaped object with cavity, (2) multi-section specimen, consisting of two cones for crowns with a center distance of 30 mm to simulate 4-unit bridges.

Cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute

BCE has initiated together with the Fraunhofer division HTL in Bayreuth a joint research project. The goal of the half-year project is to develop highly durable and reliable designs and materials out of high-performance oxide ceramics for machinery elements, such as screws or general threaded parts and other components.
