Due to the high electrical resistance and the relative poor thermal conduction oxide-ceramic materials are almost suited for electro-technology. Combined with the high mechanical strength of engineering ceramics insulating parts such as spools, laser components, sensor heads and simple distance bodies can be manufactured easily in economic way. Recently also Fuel Cell Technology gain a profit using ceramic components.
